Post Thanks, God, For everything Good!

Thanks, God, for Everything Good!

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. (Genesis 1:31)
Thanks, God, for Everything Good!
We can do a project and try our very best at it. While the finished product might be good - and others recognize it as so - the thing isn't perfect. We know where there are flaws, defects, and weaknesses. We may have done a very good job covering up these imperfections so that most people don't notice them, but they are still there. Nothing we do or set out to accom¬plish can be done absolutely perfectly.
However, God, the almighty and all-wise God, does all things perfectly well. When he created the world, there were no flaws, defects, or weaknesses. There were no imperfections which needed to be hidden. All things were good. The perfect God can only pronounce something good when it is absolutely perfect.
A thought to ponder on this Thanksgiving Day is that God didn't make his perfect creation for himself. He created light and water, plants and animals to give us a beautiful and functional world to live in.
While the effects of sin have dulled the joy that God intended us to have from his creation, we still experience much happiness from the goodness of our provident God in all that he made for us. Today we pause to count some of those blessings of God's good creation: the warmth of the sun, the sound of birds, the smell of apple blossoms, the delicate beauty of flowers, the thunder of the ocean's surf, soft breezes, gentle rain, fluffy snow, and on and on and on.... Thank you, God, for the good creation you gave us!

So everywhere we go, we tell everyone about Christ. We warn them and teach them with all the wisdom God has given us, for we want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ.
I work very hard at this, as I depend on Christ's mighty power that works within me.

Colossians 1;28,29-NLT
