Smile Pray-as-you-go extended

http://www.pray-as-you-go.org/extended.htm

The demand has been so great they have extended through Pentecost and are considering continuing indefinitely.

I read the article.......Jesuits........deadly.
Good idea, not really sure what it's all about, the article didn't explain much
Topshot....what are your views on this?

I have found the ones I've listened to very calming, reflective and worshipful. The ones I've heard haven't been doctrinal. Why don't you go to the homepage and check it out? They have a FAQ I think.

What do you mean " not very doctrinal"?
What do you know about the Jesuits? I'm a bit weary when they run things considering their history!

I implied from your post that you were concerned there would be a lot of Catholicism involved.

I've only listened to a few, but I've not heard anything of the sort. If you don't like monks though, you may get turned off. They sometimes have Gregorian chants as the background music, which I really enjoy. Hmmm... I think I'll go listen to today's before I get coding.

Here is the format:
Bells - the call to prayer
Opening music, with a few words of introduction
Scripture for the day
Questions for personal reflection
Repeat of the scripture reading
Final reflection
Conclusion: Glory be to the Father...

It is not a 'Thought for the Day', a sermon or a bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer.

Lasting between ten and twelve minutes, it combines music, scripture and some questions for reflection. The aim is to help you to:
- become more aware of God's presence in your life
- listen to and reflect on God's word
- grow in your relationship with God.

It is produced by Jesuit Media Initiatives, with material written by a number of British Jesuits and other experts in the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola.

Did you happen to know that Ignatius of Loyola and his jesuits were and still are responsible for the undermining of the protestant faith? I'm sorry but I have to question anything that comes from them!!

Suit yourself. Questioning is one thing, and should rightly be done, but dismissing out of hand without investigating is another.

Today's praying was in Acts 5 and you were to reflect upon how we fight against God and whether we discern between acts of God and acts of men. What is so undermining about that?
