Date Night Ideas

I would love to get some creative ideas from you guys on some inexpensive date nights I can share with my wife. Being a single income family with 4 dependants, there isn't a lot of money left for entertainment. So let's have it - what have you guys done, and was it successful. I'd also be curious to hear of some of the "flops". These can be really funny.

my wife and i like to go to a bookstore and sip coffee while we browse. sometimes we both get magazines and just sit quietly and show eachother any interesting things we find. Also...this one is free except the price of gas. Go to a card shop and spend time browsing...find the sweetest ones you can and present them to your sweety...that way you don't have to spend the money, but can convey sentimental ideas.
